NEW DIVISIONS

The new divisions will be named after former Bruin greats that have touched all of our hockey lives throughout the years. We have watched and cheered these players throughout their careers. It is fitting that the League honors their accomplishments.

ORR DIVISION

Our top division will be named after the greatest player ever to play in the NHL. This player transformed the defensive position and the game of hockey. He became every player’s role model and sports hero. The top division will be named after #4 Bobby Orr.

BOURQUE DIVISION

Our next division will be named after another icon in the Bruin organization and Boston Sports scene. He also transformed the position of defense and what it took to be a leader of the Bruins for many years. He was Boston’s most valuable player during the 80’s and 90’s. He is a member of the NHL Hall of Fame and a Stanley Cup winner. It is with great pleasure we name our second division after #77 Ray Bourque.

BUCYK DIVISION

Our Third division is named after a legend and leader of the Bruins in the 70’s. His leadership and outstanding play enabled the Bruins to capture the Stanley Cup in his tenure. He anchored won of the best lines ever to play in a Bruin uniform. His earned his nickname by being the leader of the Big Bad Bruins teams of the 70’s. We know him as “The Chief”. It is with great pleasure that we name our Third division after #9 Johnny Bucyk.

O’RIELLY DIVISION

Our fourth division is named after one of the hardest working, most determined, hard nosed players to put a uniform on for the Boston Bruins. He redefined the definition of intensity and hard work on the ice. His mental toughness and Physical play during his career is a lesson to all young players. His lack of natural talent was made up by hard work and relentless play. He was truly a player that will never be forgotten by all B ruins fans. It is with great pleasure we name our fourth division after #24 Terry O’Rielly.

NEELY DIVISION

Our fifth and final division is named after one of the greatest forwards to play his position. He defined the term power forward. He was able to play with toughness and balance his play with finesse. He became the most feared player in his position both on offense as well as defense. He was one of hockey’s best two way players to lace his skates up. He was the heart and sole of the Bruins during his playing days during the late 80’s. He is a member of the NHL Hockey Hall a Fame. It is with great pleasure we name our fifth division after #8 Cam Neely.
