    MSDH RULE CHANGES EFFECTIVE 1/16/2012

    Hit from Behind: If a player hits another player from behind in a game, that player will receive a 3 minute major penalty. This penalty will also include a player who hits another player from behind as a result of a last minute turn by the offensive player. The ownership of the action falls clearly on the player without the puck and he/she must be responsible for his/her actions. If the player who is hurt is injured on the play a misconduct is added to the infraction. A game ejection is handed out if you feel this hit was completely deliberate and the player is hurt on the ice.

    Targeted Hit to the Head - A major penalty will be awarded to a player who targets his hit to another players head. A 3 minute major penalty will be awarded to the defensive player who targets the head during a hit to the opposing player. A non targeted hit to the head, which means a player comes in contact with the opposing player's head, but is not considered a targeted hit will result in a minor, 1:30 min, penalty. The ownership of the action falls clearly on the player without the puck and he/she must be responsible for his/her actions.

    EACH WEEK PAPA GINO'S AND THE MIDDLE SCHOOL HOCKEY LEAGUE COACHES AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS WILL PRESENT THE PAPA GINO'S PLAYER'S OF THE WEEK. EACH WEEK A PLAYER FROM EACH DIVISION WILL BE AWARDED A LARGE CHEESE PIZZA  FROM PAPA GINO'S FOR HIS OR HER PLAY. THE AWARD NOMINATIONS ARE BASED ON SPORTSMAN SHIP, TEAM WORK, HUSSTLE, AND OVER ALL PLAY BASED ON THE PLAYERS ABILITY TO PLAY "ABOVE THE BAR". THE PLAYERS NOMINATED WILL BE JUDGED ON HOW THEY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RAISE THEIR LEVEL OF PLAY FROM WEEK TO WEEK. THIS CRITERIA WILL ALLOW ALL PLAYERS TO BE ON A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD AS THE COACHES WATCH THEIR TEAMS PLAY EACH WEEK. ALL NOMINEES MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE 7 PM ON MONDAY NIGHTS WEEKLY. PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR COACH TO SUBMITT YOUR CANDIDATE EACH WEEK.

    The no cost Registration is now open for the 2011-12 season. Please look for the Registration/Waiver button located on the left hand menu of the Home page.

    2011-2012 New Team Registration now open

    Any new organizations wishing to enter the MSDHL for the 2011-12 season can download the team registration document and send in your application. Space is limited and all applications will be on a first come first serve basis.

    MICHAUD MITSUBISHI PICTURE OF THE WEEK

    MICHAUD MISTUBISHI AND THE MIDDLE SCHOOL HOCKEY LEAGUE WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE THE  NEW "PICTURE OF THE WEEK CONTEST. EACH WEEK MICHAUD MITSUBISHI WILL  AWARD THE WINNING PICTURE A FREE OIL CHANGE AT MICHAUD MITSUBISHI. EACH WEEK THE MSDHL WILL CHOOSE ONE LUCKY WINNER. THE WINING PHOTO WILL BE FROM CHOSEN FROM PICTURES TAKEN AT EACH WEEKS MIIDDLE SCHOOL HOCKEY LEAGUE ACTION. THE PICTURES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 5 PM ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT. THE WINNING PICTURE WILL BE UPLOADED ONTO THE MSDHL HOME PAGE FOR DISPLAY ON THURSDAY.
